Dr. Kenton Crowley, Pharm.D.
Compounding Pharmacist-in-Charge
I have been a member of PCCA (The Professional Compounding Centers of America) since 1995. PCCA is the leading organization dedicated to educating and promoting the safe and effective practice of compounding in pharmacies nationwide.
In 1983 I graduated from UCSF (University of California at San Francisco) with a Doctor of Pharmacy followed by an accredited residency through Kaiser Permanente with ASHP (American Society of Health-System Pharmacists). After completing my residency I worked in several hospitals as a clinical pharmacist ending up at UCI (University of California at Irvine) for thirteen years as the Director of pharmacy services in the department of pediatrics division of child development.
While at UCI I published many articles in the area of ADHD treatment and assessment, was the only pharmacist supporting the Multimodal Treatment of Attention Deficit disorder in Children with NIMH, and also helped develop Concerta® an FDA approved medication to treat ADHD symptoms in children and adults.
Between 1995 and 1999 with the help of Dr. John Flores, MD, I developed and patented two treatments in neuropathic pain and Parkinson’s. I was the first to discover the value of topical Ketamine with or without anesthetics to relieve chronic pain conditions (ie: RSD, CRPS I & II, post surgical pain, ect..). Currently topical ketamine is used in pain medications throughout the world by millions each day.
Additionally, during my research at UCI I realized that Western Medicine, as I was trained and practiced, was not yielding the solutions it should. It was great at treating symptoms while ignoring the cause of the disease/illness. I didn't realize this about Western Medicine until my own chronic pain and quality of life deteriorated as a direct result of symptom based treatment programs which focused on relieving my chronic pain while ignoring the cause; read my personal story by

In 2000 it was paramount for me to become a part of the leading Medical body which is defining and developing the safe and effective use of BHRT (bio-identical hormone replacement therapy) and other therapies focused on addressing the cause of illness, rather than just hiding the symptoms. I made a commitment to continue my education focusing on treatment plans which address the cause of patients diseases/symptoms. I promptly began clinical training with ABAARM (The American Board of Anti-Aging & Regenerative Medicine). After receiving my Board Certification with ABAARM I continued my education receiving my fellowship from The American Academy of anti-aginng, regenerative and functional medicine (AAAFRAM). Today, I am the managing pharmacist of Pathway Specialty Compounds, which used to be called Pharmix, the pharmacy used and referenced by Dr. Uzzi Riess, M.D., in many of his recent books.
Pathway Specialty Compounds continues to provide Dr. Reiess’s bioidentical hormone replacement therapy formulas. Additionally, since becoming the managing pharmacist I have continued to expand our services to include a full array of compounded prescriptions, including but not limited to: injectables, veterinary medications, pain management, ophthalmic medication and respiratory products.
